Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors the memory of Dan Dowson, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2007. Despite his illness, Dan maintained an unwavering positive attitude and a commitment to his community. Recognizing the importance of extracurricular involvement, this scholarship is awarded to an Indianola High School senior who embodies these same qualities.
Award Amount: $2,000
Eligibility:
- Academic Achievement: A minimum GPA of 3.0
- Future Plans: Intent to attend a two- or four-year college
- Adversity and Resilience: Demonstrated ability to overcome personal or family challenges, such as financial hardship, injury, illness, loss, or other difficulties, while maintaining a positive outlook.
- Community Involvement: Active participation in extracurricular activities.
